NEW COLLABORATION FOR CORROSION TESTING

MaterialScan expands its material testing offering thanks to a new collaboration with Proton Technology, an independent, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory and an international leader in salt spray corrosion testing and surface analysis.

The agreement signed last June marks a turning point for the young company based in Trieste, which now plays a high-profile role being Proton Technology‘s partner in Italy. “This collaboration” – said Alessio Ferluga, CEO of MaterialScan – “allows us to accelerate our growth path and enter the market with a certified service. Proton Technology applies the highest quality standards and delivers results to the customer within 24 h from test conclusion.”

Who is Proton Technology?

Proton Technology is a leading independent laboratory and test centre in the field of corrosion analysis and coating durability, located in Bankeryd, Sweden. With a 1200 m² temperature and humidity-controlled environment, the laboratory can meet the needs of manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive, metalworking, and wood-furniture industries worldwide and aims to enter other strategic market segments in Italy, such as shipbuilding.

Today, more than 55% of turnover come from customers outside Sweden, mainly from Europe. International expansion is part of Proton Technology’s long-term growth strategy, and Italy is one of the main targets, as demonstrated by the collaboration with MaterialScan.
